Ceremony Schedule
When:
Friday, June 20, 2008 at 7:00 PM
Where: James River Assembly’s Clark Chapel; Ozark, Missouri


Participation
Students who are awarded one of the designated certificates, diplomas, or degrees between May 1, 2007 and April 30, 2008 are invited to attend the Commencement ceremony.  All course grades must be posted and the request to graduate processed before a student can be graduated.

Instructions for Participating in the ceremony:

Step 1:

  1. USA Students
    Students enrolled through the USA office in Springfield, MO who wish to attend the ceremony are required to submit their request to graduate along with the applicable fees before April 18, 2008.

  2. International Students
    Students enrolled through a National Office must contact their local enrollment office. The National Office will forward student requests to graduate to Global University’s Assistant Registrar before April 18, 2008.


Step 2:
Upon receipt of your Graduation Application, a program evaluation will be completed in order to verify that you have met all graduation requirements. Your diploma will be then mailed to you along with the 2008 Commencement Sign-Up Form.


Step 3:

  1. USA Students
    You must submit the 2008 Commencement Sign-Up form along with the appropriate fee to the Commencement Coordinator before May 7, 2008.

  2. International Students
    Students enrolled through a National Office or Graduate Studies Center must contact their local enrollment office. The National Office or Graduate Studies Center should forward student requests to graduate to Global University’s Assistant Registrar before April 18, 2008.


Step 4:
Shortly after May 7th 2008, all participants will be mailed an information packet.  This packet will include all the information pertaining to the activities and events surrounding Commencement 2008. 


Diploma
Diplomas are not given out at the Commencement ceremony. They are mailed to you after your Graduation Application has been processed. You do not need to bring your diploma with you. During the ceremony the President of Global University will present the graduates with a Diploma cover. 


Regalia (Cap & Gown)

Regalia will be ordered by the Commencement Coordinator. The Commencement fee includes the cost of the cap, gown and dated (’08) tassel. Graduate- level students will also receive their hood during the ceremony. Students graduating with honors will wear honor cords. Only the caps and gowns ordered with the Commencement Sign-up/order form may be worn at the Commencement ceremony.


Transportation/Lodging

All participants will be responsible for their own air fare, transportation, meals and lodging.  Springfield has a public transportation system, but it does not extend to Ozark where the Commencement ceremony will be held.  Taxi service is available.  Regretfully Global University does not have the necessary resources to assist with transportation
