2010 B.A. DEGREE IN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Education is designed to provide the educational background needed by those who plan to serve in the ministry of education. This program is NOT a teacher certificate program. Successful completion of this program may allow the student to teach in some Christian or private schools or to administer programs in Christian education.

Do you see yourself as a religious education teacher in a Christian or private school? Or perhaps helping lead Christian education programs at your church? If so, you’ll want to pursue your degree in Religious Education from Global University in Springfield, Missouri. It’s a religious education program online and through distance learning. That’s something you can do in your own home, sitting at the computer or the kitchen table. You can proceed at your own pace, balancing your other time commitments.

In this program, you’ll develop your Christian teaching skills with courses like Principles of Teaching, Educational Psychology and The Church’s Educational Task. You’ll encounter the Bible and emerge wiser in classes like Life of Christ, Genesis and Corinthians. Theology and Church Ministries are also part of your degree in Religious Education. That said, general education course make up just over half of your coursework. Class after class will add skills and knowledge about music, philosophy, sociology and more, all from the Christian perspective.
