Central Asia Theological Institute

Reaching Five Countries in Central Asia through Spirit-empowered Education and Training.

82.6 Million People seeking the life transforming power of Jesus Christ

The Central Asia Theological Institute reaches Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. Central Asia has a rich cultural history shaped by its position on the Silk Road, which made it a crossroads for trade, ideas, and religions between East and West. Its culture reflects a blend of Persian, Turkic, Mongolian, Russian and Islamic influences, with each country maintaining distinct languages and traditions.

Revival in the region

During the 90s, there was a great revival throughout the region. However, because there was little to no training, the revival did not last.

Surrounded by Russia, China, and the Middle East, Central Asia has recognized that the Bible speaks about peace. This is desirable and has opened a limited window to reach the region.

Revival is happening again. This time, Global University has partnered with national churches to provide training to retain the harvest of the revival.

As courses are translated, their reach goes far beyond Central Asia. The languages used will reach far into Russia and even to minority people groups in the region. The first classes were completed in the fall of 2023.
