Why Correspondence Learning Matters During a Pandemic Like COVID-19

Correspondence learning gives you the freedom and opportunity to learn at your own pace. All you need to do is receive the course materials, either online or through the mail, and then return the assignments and exams within a certain timeframe. Does this way of taking college courses sound useful to you?

Distance learning and correspondence learning have made headlines in 2020 due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. The pandemic is one reason why we feel Global University offers you a relevant opportunity to enhance your ministry work as you fulfill God’s calling on your life. Today’s blog from Global University explains why correspondence learning matters during a pandemic like COVID-19.

Minimum Contact

Correspondence learning gives you minimal contact with other students. If you want to, you can join a study group at your local Assemblies of God church. Your study group facilitator will gather a small group of Global University students to help all of you stay on task while observing social distancing rules (if needed). Otherwise, you can study at your own pace as long as you finish assignments and take your exams within the allotted time.

Easier Deadlines

There aren’t many daily or weekly assignments with our correspondence learning model. If you need a day or two to take a break from your studies or have other obligations, you can come back to your coursework at another time. Let your instructor or professor know if you need more time to complete your coursework. In general, you have six months to complete a course (rather than four months in a traditional setting). If circumstances arise, you can extend your course deadline to a year. Especially if you have to suddenly stop focusing on courses due to the coronavirus pandemic, you can pick them up again in a few weeks.

Quality Training

Whether you earn a certificate, diploma, or degree, you receive quality training from our dedicated faculty. Whether you want to learn more about the Bible or become a leader in your local church, you have plenty of options with our correspondence learning courses at Global University. Our faculty and staff help turn God’s dream in your heart into reality. Classes won’t be canceled or postponed due to COVID-19, so you won’t get behind while still receiving a quality education.
